We go one better: for our customers, for our people, for the planet.
We do everything we can to ensure that every person uses our services safely and responsibly, constantly pushing to make our business safer and protect our customers and communities. As a founding member of the Betting and Gaming Council (BGC), we’re also working with other BGC members to raise industry safety standards, whether it’s through Safer Gambling Commitments or industry working groups.
Player Safety is at the very heart of our culture. All our colleagues play their part in keeping our Players safe, whether they work directly or indirectly with our customers. As campaigners for player safety, William Hill welcomed the 2020 Gambling Act Review. Our industry is now more committed than ever to keeping gambling as safe as possible — and we continue to raise those standards. We’re actively engaged with the UK Government to guide our customers, and colleagues towards safer, smarter decisions, and ensure that any new regulations work alongside the positive development of the gambling industry.
When people come from different walks of life they bring those different experiences and perspectives with them. At William Hill, we go the extra mile to ensure all of our colleagues feel like they can bring their whole selves to work.
That’s why we’ve created our Belong approach that encourages us to celebrate our differences every day. It’s what helps us thrive and brings us together. Regardless of who you are, everybody can find a place they belong at William Hill.
Our Belong approach has resulted in us adopting a number of incredible programmes that have allowed us to go from strength to strength.
Our colleagues in the UK work in partnership with Neighbourly, an award-winning giving platform that helps businesses make a positive impact in their communities by donating volunteer time.
Meanwhile, at William Hill International, our aim is to have a positive impact on our local and wider communities. In Malta we launched the #cleantheocean initiative in 2017 and have since organised many clean-up activities. All employees at WH International have access to our Volunteer Time Off Programme each year, where they can volunteer at a recognised non-profit organisation or charity.
We know that to create a sustainable society, we need to work together.
Our approach to sustainability goes beyond corporate philanthropy. It centres around four objectives in areas in which we think we can deliver the most impact:
