1966 was an important year for everyone. England won the World Cup. The Beatles went on stage for their final (scheduled) live performance in the UK. And we opened our very first betting shop. Today, we have over 1,400 betting shops across the country and are serving millions of customers every year.
Retail has always been an important part of the William Hill community. For this very reason, we’ve begun to remodel our estate, ensuring that it’s fit for the future and that our customers and talented colleagues continue to feel welcome and safe.
Following the Covid-19 pandemic, we brought UK Retail and Online together under one leadership team with one goal: to be our UK customers first choice for betting and gaming. This includes making our proprietary Self-Service Betting Terminals (SSBTs) more widely available, allowing for an exciting omni-channel experience in a safe environment.
By aligning our Retail and Online technology platforms and training our shop colleagues to provide our customers with a fun, safe, and seamless experience, we will continue to reinforce the future of Retail.
